100% hand-harvested, 40-60 years, dry-farmed Monastrell bush vines, first week October in cool, sandy plots to obtain sweet tannins and preserve fruit on the palate, good alcohol and tannins. Macerated 21 days to 29°C to obtain colour and then reduced to 23°C to preserve primary fruit aromas. Aged 6 months in 100% fine grain 300lt French barrels to produce a deep purple colour, distinctive aromas of black plums, blueberries, blackberries and white pepper replicated in a structured palate with silky tannins and lingering finish. Classy, great value with excellent concentration and length.
